WEATHERGUARD AND WEATHERCOAT TEXTURE

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

WEATHERGUARD AND WEATHERCOAT Texture is a high build water based coating for external use. The coating is based on a the latest acrylated vinyl polymers together with natural aggregates and binders. High quality water based pigments give crisp clear colours.

USES

Suitable for application to most substrates e.g. Masonry, Concrete Render, and Hardwood or Plywood primed with WEATHERGUARD AND WEATHERCOAT Primers.

APPLICATION

WEATHERGUARD AND WEATHERCOAT texture should be applied with a brush or with one of our specialist rollers. Work within an area of about 10 square metres coating from top to bottom. Finish with a roller in one downward movement working from left to right. Overlap each roller stroke. Avoid a dry edge by coating one wall in one visit.

COVERAGE

Approximately I Square Metre per Litre

DRYING

Drying times will vary dependant on air temperature and humidity. The warmer it is the faster it will dry. At 20 Degrees Celsius it will dry in about 5 hours.

WEATHERGUARD AND WEATHERCOAT Smooth is a high quality grade water based acrylic paint for external use. It is based on a the latest acrylated vinyl polymers together with natural aggregates and binders. High quality water based pigments give crisp clear colours.

USES

Suitable for application to most substrates e.g. Masonry, Concrete Render, and Hardwood or Plywood primed with WEATHERGUARD AND WEATHERCOAT Primers. It is ideal for painting over surfaces previously coated with acrylic paint or texture.

APPLICATION

WEATHERGUARD AND WEATHERCOAT Smooth can be applied with a brush provided it is not brushed out to far. A medium pile lambs wool roller will give quick and effective coverage. In some colours two coats may be required.

COVERAGE

Approximately 3 Square Metres per Litre

DRYING

WEATHERGUARD AND WEATHERCOAT Smooth normally dries in 2-3 hours dependant on temperature, humidity, and the porosity of the substrate.

SUBSTRATE PREPERATION

WOOD

Fill all knotholes and butt joints with WEATHERGUARD AND WEATHERCOAT Jointing Compound. Prime Timber with WEATHERGUARD AND WEATHERCOAT Standard or Stain Block Primer. If applying texture ensure that butt joints are taped with Scrim Tape.

MASONRY & CONCRETE RENDER

Ensure all surfaces are clean and free from loose or powdery material. All surfaces should be sealed with Adhesive Resin Seal prior to application.

PREVIOUSLY COATED SURFACES

Ensure that all surfaces are free from grease, organic growth, fungus or lichen. Use a proprietary anti–fungal solution where necessary.

CLEANING

Clean materials and equipment in water whilst the product is wet. Wash hands in warm soap and water.

STORAGE

Store in sealed buckets at a temperature above 5 degrees Celsius. Use within six months from date of purchases. Protect all products from frost.

 PACK SIZES

5 litre, 10 Litre, and 20 Litre Buckets. Primer is available in 1 Litre cans.
